What is your availability?
I will always try to fit in customers into my schedule, please fill out the CONTACT FORM or CUSTOM PREMADES form with a short logline for your book cover, and I will contact you as soon as possible.
How much does a custom cover cost?
A custom cover starts at $300 and up for one character depending on stock usage. $25 for each additional character. After completion you will receive a 2700x4400 300 dpi high resolution file of your book cover. Additional add-ons may be added on per your request. Please see the pricing/services page.
PAYMENT: EFFECTIVE AS OF AUGUST 21ST, 2022
Client agrees to pay 50% of the quoted project before starting work on your book cover. The remaining balance is due upon approval of final book cover design. Christine Gerardi Designs will not release finished files to the client or other parties until final payment has been received. Also the final payment is also final approval of the project from the author, and this project will be considered fulfilled.
What's the turnaround time for a custom cover design book cover?
The average turnaround time is between 4 to 10 days, depending on complexity.
Where do you get your stock images?
I purchase most of my stock from Deposit photos, Neostock, & Period Images. I also purchase 3D renders from various Daz Render shops.
I found an image from Google, or Unsplash. Can I use it for my cover?
No. Sorry! I only use sites with proper licenses. This is to protect both
parties myself, and my clients from being sued.
Do you allow revisions on premade book covers?
I'll do minor changes such as changing eye color, and changing typography. Most pre-mades are sold as is.
If I ordered a E-book cover can I purchase add-ons later?
Yes, you may purchase the hardbacks or paperbacks whenever time you like, but I will require the following information: The page count, page color, dimensions of your book cover, and if you publish with Amazon. If you are using another publisher (such as IngramSpark, Lulu, etc.), you'll be responsible for downloading a template and emailing it to me.
Can I purchase a premade cover and have you create a series?
Absolutely! I will create a series of covers based on any premade cover you purchase. The pricing for continuations will be higher than the purchased premade.
Can I have the PSD file?
No. Sorry. I don't share the psd files due to licensing.
Can I have my existing book cover redesigned after approval of comps, and payment.
No. After you agree that you love the image, and I have received payment. All sales are final. If you want me to redesign from scratch again new payment is required for a new cover.
Can I cancel the project at any time?
Yes, you can cancel the project if cancellation is requested immediately after delivery of comps, and no payment has been made.
Do I have to credit you in my book?
Yes with any purchase made from Christine Gerardi Designs, the client agrees to acknowledge my work and add to formats of any form (ebook, paperback, hardcover, audiobook, or future forms of creative content) with full writing or hyperlinks (either in the back of the book or in the copyright section) the following attribution: Cover Design by Christine Gerardi Designs at www.christinegerardidesigns.com
What genres do you specialize in?
I specialize in Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, Romance, Young Adult, Sci-Fi, Paranormal, but I'm open to all genres.
